Beginning with our world premiere at Sundance Film Festival, GRANITO played at more than 50 film festivals across 5 continents. The highlights include selection as the opening night film of the Human Rights International Film Festival at Lincoln Center in New York, winning the Geneva International Human Rights Film Festival prize for Peace and Reconciliation in honor of Sergio Vieira de Mello, the Best Creative Documentary prize at the Paris Human Rights Film Festival, and the Grand Prize at the Politics on Film festival in Washington DC.

GRANITO opened theatrically in New York (IFC Center) and Los Angeles (Laemmle’s Sunset), and continues its national rollout playing in 30+ cities. GRANITO was selected to be part of the 25th anniversary season of POV on PBS, broadcast in the summer of 2012. The film is part of the Human Rights Watch traveling film festival and will play in 12 additional US cities.

We are completing the alpha phase of our sister digital project GRANITO:
Every Memory Matters, and plan to launch the next phase with our March 1, 2012 premiere in Guatemala City at the National Theater. With our Guatemalan outreach partners, the Guatemalan Forensic Anthropology Team and the National Police Archives project, we are building the Memory Teams in Guatemala and the in the diaspora in the US.

We have made a French, Spanish and English versions of GRANITO.
And are working on completing the K’iche and Ixil Maya language versions.
