FOR THE NEXT 7 GENERATIONS tells the story of a group of thirteen indigenous grandmothers, shamans and medicine women from Asia, Africa, and all of the Americas. They have come together because they were told in prophecy that their ancestral ways of prayer, peacemaking, and healing are vitally needed in the world today and that they must speak out in one united voice. As the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, they’ve been traveling around the world meeting with people of many cultures and generations, awakening them to the catastrophic consequences we face if we do not change the way we relate to each other and to our Mother Earth. From their unique perspective as part of the original peoples who took care of the Earth for thousands of years, they are showing us how we can create a new way of life that will bring the planet back into balance before it’s too late.
